Preschool is IN session tomorrow, August 9th. Preschool drop off begins from 7:20 until 7:40. We dismiss preschool car riders first. If you do not have a preschool child, please wait behind the cones until all preschool students leave. Then you may pull up to the available signs. Thanks for your help with this!
These teachers are so important they needed their own day! These amazing educators can do it all. They partner with everyone in the building to meet the needs of our students! We are so thankful for the work they do.

KINDERGARTEN SCREENING TOMORROW- Monday, July 29th 9AM-1PM Every child will need to attend. We will be checking your child’s readiness skills for kindergarten. An adult needs to accompany each child. Former MLES preschool students WILL need to attend. We can't wait to see you tomorrow!

Due to RAIN, we are moving field day inside. There will be NO WATER EVENTS. Students will do inflatables, dance party, and popsicles for 1 hour. K-2nd students DO NOT need a change of clothes/swimwear.
3rd-5th grade students will still attend the Good Faith Effort at the YMCA and will need swimwear/change of clothes.
Good afternoon! Please see the attached graphic about Field Day, Water Day, and Good Faith Effort Reward Day on May 17th! ALL students will participate in Field/Water Day at school. 3rd - 5th grade will spend time at the YMCA for "Good Faith Effort" on KSA testing. We look forward to a wonderful last day of school!
As you are well aware, DCPS is closing elementary schools at 12:15 today. Buses will release at that time as well as our car rider line. If your child is changing transportation, please message your child's teacher as soon as possible. There will be no afternoon preschool. Our After School Program is closed as well.
We cannot believe that the school year is almost over! It has been an incredible year filled with many memories. We look forward to finishing the year with all of the exciting events listed!
First up is Kindergarten Open House happening TONIGHT from 5:30 - 6:30 for all upcoming kindergarten students and families. Come get meet the staff, go on a tour, and register for kindergarten if you haven't already!

Join us for a meet and greet with school staff, a school tour, and get help with registration!
Come one, come all for our 1st ever Annie Jr. Musical by our amazing 4th and 5th grade students here at MLES! We will have two opportunities to see the show that is for the entire family. You can come THIS Thursday, March 14th, or Saturday, March 16th starting at 5:30PM each evening. You won't want to miss it!
