As a busy parent myself, I know how valuable your time is, so I do my best to keep these updates short, simple, and focused on the most important information you need for the upcoming week.

Happy Friday Highland Families! It is hard to believe we only have 8 school days left in the 2025-2026 school year! We have officially completed the first 6 days of state testing, with only 4 more testing days to go. We are so proud of the hard work, focus, and effort our students are showing each day!
This will be our LAST Peek at the Week for the school year, so I have combined information for the final 8 days of school. Once school is out, we will also send home a “Peek at the Summer” so families can mark important dates on their calendars.
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing moms and mother figures who support our Highland Hornets each and every day. We appreciate you so much!

We have our first full week of May ahead, which means it is also our first full week of state testing for our 3–5 graders. Our K–2 students will be MAP testing as well. Our students are READY and CONFIDENT, and we are so proud of them!
Over the next couple of weeks, please give your child a little extra encouragement. They will be working hard at school to show what they know, and your support makes a big difference.
We are so proud of our Highland Hornets! Have a great weekend, and we will see everyone back in the HIVE on Monday!

Please check the schedule in the Peek at the Week so you can help make sure your child arrives at school on time and stays for the full school day during testing. Our students are prepared and ready to show all they have learned as we continue to celebrate Highland’s Culture of Blue!
We’ll also have a KSA Pep Rally on Thursday for all PreK–5 students. Please have your child wear BLUE that day to help us cheer on our students!
