Happy Fall Break, Tiger Family! I hope this message finds you planning some time to enjoy your family and get some rest over the next week. Whether you are traveling or just staying home, I hope you find joy and laughter each day. My family will be staying home and enjoying some time hunting, fishing, and racing RC trucks and then ending the week with the DCHS marching band. As we move into the 2nd 9 weeks, we have a lot of great events coming up to partner with our families and community! We hope to see everyone out for our Parent/Teacher Conferences, Trunk or Treat, Veterans Day Celebration, and other events as we get closer to the holidays. Check out the rest of the newsletter for all of the details. We'll see you back on October 20th!

Good Monday Morning! Students are moving right along down the path of success, meeting and exceeding our ROARS Expectations to be RESPONSIBLE, ORGANIZED, ACCEPTING OF OTHERS, RESPECTFUL, and SAFE. Students have already earned 111 PAWSitive Performers this first quarter. Our Tigers are amazing!

What a great week our tigers have had at school! The students have been hard at work this week learning about reading, math, science, social studies and so much more! As we approach the end of the nine weeks, we will be entering grades and wrapping up loose ends. This is a great time to make sure any missing registration or immunization forms are returned and turn in any doctor excuses for absences. Thank you all so much for an excellent start to the school year!

Thanks to everyone who was able to come out and take part in our curriculum night! Congrats to Jerome Pruden and Grayson Cattoor for winning our Family Fun Movie Night baskets. Thank you all for making our Fall Festival a HUGE success! We raised over $6000 for our PTO and had loads of fun with our family and community in the process. Up next, we have our Family Curriculum Night this coming Tuesday! We hope you will join us for a free meal, along with a chance to learn about Title 1 Funding, SEL, Arts Classes, and what the day-to-day curriculum looks like for your child. Just two more weeks until Fall Break and the end of the first 9 weeks! Let's work hard to finish the first quarter strong!

This race is open to all elementary students in Daviess County in OPS, DCPS, homeschool & private schools.

Thank you for a great 4-day week of school! Don't forget that tomorrow is a PD Day for teachers and a day off for students. Tonight is our Fall Festival, so we hope to see everyone come out and enjoy a perfect night together with your Tiger Family. There will be food, games, inflatables, a hay ride, and a silent auction. Remember it only costs $5/student to enjoy all of the games and inflatables. Next week we will be back to work for our last 15 days of instruction before Fall Break. We will be starting our WIN time groups next week as well. These groups are intentionally focused instructional groups that will help us meet the needs of all students in a more precise setting. We can't wait to start down this next road of our journey to success!

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!! FALL FESTIVAL IS HERE!! ALL ACTIVIES BEGIN AT 5 pm until 7 pm.
BRACELETS - If you purchased braclets early, be sure to check your student's folder in their backpack for their bracelets. These are being sent home TODAY with them.
ARRIVAL - Upon arrival, please stop by the ticket booth and get a WATER BOTTLE (empty). This is for every bracelet holder.
FOOD - Come hungry!! Food trucks and concessions will be available tonight. (extra cost)
KISS THE PIG - Don't forget to bring your change for KISS THE PIG. This will be open until 6:45.
Credit and Debit cards will be accepted for tickets, concessions & silent auction.
Please be prepared to pay for your silent auction purchases TONIGHT.
ALL parking will be in the front parking lot. Please do not drive around the cones or the back of the building.

Happy Friday, Tigers! Thank you grandparents and families for attending the Book Fair. We had an amazing turn out each day for lunch and it was
so good to see all of the guests enjoying time together with their families. We also want to give an extra special shout out to Mrs. Thompson for
such a successful and well organized book fair!
Looking forward to the coming week, we are so excited about Thursday, September 18 . During the school day, students will be enjoying AG day
with all of our community partners. Thursday night is our Fall Festival and we can’t wait to celebrate all night with our West Louisville families.

Tomorrow, Septemember 9, is Kentucky's HIgh Attendance Day for ALL schools.
What does that mean for us?
Our funds from the state are based on our attendance. Specifically, TOMORROW!!
That's why we need EVERY student at school.
ALL students here in the morning will get ROLLING PIN DONUTS for breakfast.
Then, for lunch, we have LITTLE CAESARS PIZZA, for all students.
Finally, to end the day, all students that were here all day will get to attend a BUBBLE AND POPSICLE PARTY!!
It's going to a wonderful day and a GREAT day to be a TIGER!!

Welcome to September and some amazing fall-ish weather! We wrapped up MAP testing this week and we are very proud of the students for their hard work and achievements! I”d like to say an extra special "Thank You!" to all of our families for helping with that success by having your children here on time, well rested, and ready for a great day!
Looking ahead, we have several fun events coming up starting with Grandparent's Week! We hope to enjoy spending time with many visitors throughout next week as we celebrate our Grandparents each day at lunch! Next week is also our Book Fair, so we hope your students are ready to shop! Fall Festival is also right around the corner, so watch for announcements about the exciting games, auction items, and food! Don't forget to pre-order your bracelets so you can skip the line that night! Just $5/student!

Thank you all for an amazing first 14 days of the school year! The students are doing so great at getting back into the routine of school and they are working hard to earn Pawsitive Performers. MAP testing is going well and we are pleased with the results so far. We apologize for the inconvenience of picture day being canceled, unfortunately even the photographers get the school germs. We have rescheduled picture day for September 29th. We also have Book Fair and Grandparent’s Week coming up soon, so be on the lookout for that information. Remember that we have Monday off for Labor Day, so I hope you all enjoy your extended weekend with your families!
