It's Red Ribbon Week in the Foxes' Den this week. Let's dress up to celebrate being drug and alcohol-free! Monday--You have the Super Power to be Drug Free! Tuesday-Double Up against Drugs! Wednesday-My Future is Bright without Drugs! Thursday-Say Boo to Drugs! Friday-Be RED-y to be Drug-Free!

Burns Middle School Boys basketball try outs will be October 17th and 18th, 3:30-5:30 at the BMS gym. See you there!

Congratulations to BMS student, Robert Gist, who won the DCPS middle school high attendance month award of Apple AirPods! This award was drawn from all the students in all three middle schools who had perfect attendance in September!

Friday students will receive information on suicide prevention and the prevention of self-harm. See the letter (pictured below) explaining how we educate and support our students. Friday, additional staff will be present to talk with students if they request additional support.

We can't wait to see everyone that comes to the Multicultural Festival tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10AM -4PM. This is a free community event. We will have a table with members from our Mental Health team there.

The Annual Stuff the Bus campaign this year for DCPS and OPS will be held Monday, July 31 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Representatives from both Davies County and Owensboro Public Schools districts will be on-site at both Owensboro Walmart locations (Hwy 54 and Frederica St.). You can deliver your supplies to either location as they will be split between the two school districts. If you are unable to make it during the event, supplies can be dropped off at either district's Central Office location. Supplies needed: Backpacks Pencils Erasers Pens (blue, black and red) Crayola Crayons (24 Pack) Crayola Markers Crayola Colored Pencils Highlighters Glue Sticks Folders (3 prong and solid colors) Notebooks (solid colors) Three Ring Binders Loose Leaf Paper Pencil Pouches Pencil Top Erasers
