Calling all Middle School and High School girls! Owensboro Community & Technical College will host their 7th Annual Girls Empowerment Trailblazer Dinner on February 29, 2024.
The evening will include a program fair beginning at 4:30PM for then the main event begins at 5:30 PM . The main event includes a free meal and keynote speaker Aisha Bowe.

7th Annual Girls Empowerment Trailblazer Dinner that will be “out of this world” and will feature guest speaker Aisha Bowe! Aisha is a former NASA rocket scientist, future Blue Origin astronaut, and entrepreneur who began her journey by taking a pre-algebra class in community college. We hope you can join us on February 29th for this amazing opportunity to hear her story and be inspired to achieve your dreams. A gorgeous photo booth and fun program fair featuring OCTC opportunities will be available beginning at 4:30pm with the main event and dinner starting at 5:30pm. The evening is geared toward middle school and high school students. We will provide a free meal and will also be giving away a limited quantity of t-shirts to attendees. Congratulations to our 7th grade boys' basketball team on its first-round district tournament win over Holy Name last night 36-34. A big shout-out to Savi on his 3-point shot in the last few seconds--securing the win. It was an exciting night! The Foxes are back in action against Owensboro Catholic at 7 pm on Tuesday at College View Middle School.

Mr. Austin is sending a shoutout to Grayson Baker. "Grayson is Mr. Austin's Behvior-Mania champion by following his expectations and being helpful in class. Great job, Grayson!"


Mr. Hambidge is sending a shout-out to 8th grader Olivia Collins. "Olivia has continued to grow throughout the year into a classroom leader. She regularly helps students around her struggling with assignments and helps me keep the class focused and on task. Olivia also comes to class every morning laughing and joking around with other students which allows many people to start the day at ease and with positive attitudes."

Ms. Brown is sending a shoutout to sixth-grade Angel Aiden Thomas. "I am so proud of Aiden!! He knew that he was absent the day we had taken a quiz and asked me if ESS was available that day so that he could make up the quiz. Thank you Aiden for being responsible enough to schedule a time and a place to make up your quiz, and for using ESS efficiently. Hopefully others take after you!"
