Southern Oaks Families, It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news of the loss of one of our Southern Oaks students, Reece Dowdy. Reece was a strong Stallion leader and such a bright light in our school community. Having just completed 1st grade, Reece was a friend to many, always sharing kindness, bringing laughter, and spreading joy to everyone he met. He was well known for his incredible storytelling and ability to captivate any audience with his joy. Please join us in holding Reece’s family and friends in your hearts in the days ahead as we all process this difficult loss. While it may be summer, please know that we remain here to support students during any time of need. If you feel that anyone from our staff could be a support for your child, please do not hesitate to reach out. The 1st Grade Stallions visited the Owensboro Botanical Gardens last week. 🌸🪻🌺🌷 Flowers were admired, 🦅🦜🪺🪶Birds were studied and observed, crafts were made ✂️✏️🖍️ and nature walks were enjoyed! ☀️🐝🐞
