⭐High Attendance Day in the State of Kentucky is next Thursday Sept 12!⭐ To celebrate, Sorgho is having dress up days Monday - Friday!! Woot Woot! We will also have a special Totally Tubular Dance Party during Connections classes and special prizes given out to students who come to school on Thursday! AND..... that's not it.... We have a really special SURPRISE during our Friday Assembly! Your kids don't want to miss it! Let's come to school and celebrate great attendance! #wearesorgho #sorghowildcats #highattendance

📚Book Fair is next week! 📚 We will also have our Grandparents Breakfast and Book Fair shopping afterwards! Follow the schedule below! If you have more than one child, they can eat on the same day. A week from today we are so excited to welcome all of our students back to our buildings for the 24-25 school year. Make sure before Wednesday, August 7: - You register your child for school. For new parents/students: Visit your child's school to begin registering for the next school year. 🖍Kindergarten Orientation and Jumpstart!🖍 Friday, August 2nd from 9:00 - 11:00 am During this time, our Kindergarten Wildcats will be spending time with their teachers and new friends. Parents will stay and attend a kindergarten orientation where very important information will be shared. *Note: Kindergarten students do not need to attend the Back to School Night on August 1st that is for 1st-5th graders. If you have not registered your child for school and you plan for them to attend Sorgho, please register through this link: https://dcps.org/enroll/ Back to School Events Info: Preschool: Tuesday, July 30th @ 5:30 pm- All preschoolers are invited to attend preschool orientation. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade: Thursday, August 1st at 5:00 pm- 4th and 5th Grade: Thursday, August 1st at 6:00 pm- Back to School Bash will begin in the gym at your designated time. There will be a brief mandatory meeting with Principal Pippin prior to giving out classroom assignments. Following this meeting, families will be able to meet their child’s teacher, sign up for PTO, purchase spirit wear, pay school fees, get info on PikmyKid, meet bus drivers and sign up for the After School Program if needed. *Note: Kindergarten students do not need to attend back to school night since they are having Jumpstart next day! Kindergarten: Friday, August 2nd at 9:00 am- Kindergarten Orientation and Jumpstart: During this time, our Kindergarten Wildcats will be spending time with their teachers and new friends.
