What creativity we have here at Deer Park! Just look at these pumpkins! Unfortunately, we were so busy we didn't get a picture of all of them? Who can share some of them? (especially our UP pumpkin!)

Our Veterans Day program will be on November 10th at 8:00. We invite all 4th grade parents to the assembly to watch as the 4th grade students honor the courageous veterans who have selflessly served our nation. As a small token of our appreciation, we invite veterans, one guest and the student to join us for breakfast following the assembly. We encourage students with veterans to kindly complete the RSVP form at the following link http://bit.ly/dpesvet Your prompt response will help us to ensure that we have an accurate estimate of the number of attendees joining us for the breakfast.

On Wednesday, our Rangers celebrated their achievement of being respectful, being responsible, and being ready to learn during the month of October by taking a field trip to Reid's Orchard. This was our surprise celebration for meeting our individual monthly behavior goals.

We are looking forward to the Monster March on Thursday! Students come dressed in their costumes and their trick-or-treat bag. This event is FREE for families. However, a Grab-& Go meal (hotog, chips, cookie, and a drink) will be available for $3 and students can use cash (coins or bills) to vote for their favorite decorated pumpkin. Join us for our annual Monster March on October 26th from 5:30-6:30. The city is hosting their annual Trail of Treats in Downtown Owensboro that night as well. So, get on those costumes, swing by Deer Park for some trick or treating, then head downtown for some more halloween fun! *Reminder-- This is not a Fall Festival. We replaced that with our Spring Fling several years ago. This is a chance to see our staff in costumes and a night of free fun!
