Our youngest Rangers are learning how to “play school” while building friendships, teamwork, and communication skills! 🏫💚 Through fun team-building activities, they’re learning that school is even better when we work together!

On Friday, we kicked off our very first Ranger Rally by celebrating our amazing Ranger Role Models for Responsibility and recognizing our Rangers for their outstanding attendance! We wrapped up the rally with a fun and energetic challenge—Stuff the Backpack! 🎒📚 Our Rangers raced to fill backpacks with school supplies, bringing lots of teamwork, excitement, and smiles to the afternoon!

Today, our students went to the Coping Skills Cafe to explore 4 different coping skills they can use when they experience big emotions—🎶 music, 🌬️ breathing, 🎨 art, and 🧩 sculpting!

Ask your Ranger which coping skill was their favorite! 💙

It’s been a fantastic first full week of school! 💙 We are SO glad to have all of our Rangers back in the building! 🦌 Our Rangers are already working hard, learning lots, and getting SMARTER every day! 📚✨ What a great start to the school year! 💙🦌

Hello, Deer Park Families!

We want to remind everyone of our Back-to-School night for all K-5 students and families THIS Thursday, July 30th. Doors will be open from 5:00-7:00pm.

To make the night run smooth for you, a few things you should know:
1. Out front, you will pick up an envelope with your child(ren)'s scratch off card(s) inside. You will take this to the lobby to allow your child to scratch and see who their Homeroom teacher is this year!
2. Inside the same envelope, will be Quest Stops for each student. If you make all of the stops then before you leave, you can redeem the card for a free treat! Each Deer Park student is eligible for one free treat.
3. The stops will include...
a. Homeroom classroom to meet your teacher, complete Title I compact, and verify Pik-My-Kid dismissal. (if you don't have the PikMyKid app go ahead and download it now!) This is also a great time to drop-off school supplies if you have those ready.
b. Cafeteria to ensure you've completed the Free/Reduced application. You can do this before you come at this link: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Home/PickDistrict
c. Gymnasium if the info in PikMyKid is incorrect and/or if you need to discuss bus pick-up/drop-off/bus stop info/bus number with one of our amazing bus drivers! If the line is long, please check out the Stopfinder app to get this info.

If you need to check on your application status with our After School Program, the room will be open and Ms. Emily will be available to assist you.

We were blown away by the incredible talent, creativity, and confidence our Rangers shared with us today—our students truly shined! We are especially proud of the bravery and courage it took for each performer to step in front of their peers and perform for our entire student body. That kind of confidence is something to celebrate! ❤️🦌 Great job, Rangers! You made today so much fun and reminded us just how talented our school family is! 👏🎤✨

Have you ever stopped to imagine what it’s like being a bus driver? Safely getting every child home while also managing behaviors from the front of a bus is no small job, and at Deer Park, we are so thankful for the love and care our bus drivers show our Rangers every single day. Mr. Robin is truly special. Every day, he greets students with fist bumps, hugs, and high fives, and even off the clock, he continues showing up for our kids because he genuinely cares about them. Our students behave on Bus 26 because they love and respect him and would never want to disappoint him. They invite him to school performances, ask him to eat lunch with them, and include him in Deer Park events because of the meaningful relationships he has built with our students. While we may be saying goodbye to his daily route, Mr. Robin will always have a place at Deer Park. He is such a special part of our Ranger family, and we are incredibly grateful for the love and care he has poured into our students over the years. ❤️

Our 5th grade Rangers are ready to enjoy the day at Holiday World 🎢☀️ This trip is a well-deserved reward for their positive behavior all year and all their hard work during KSA testing. We are so proud of them and hope they make memories that last a lifetime! 💙🦌

Last Friday, we celebrated our youngest Rangers at their preschool graduation! 🎓✨ They are officially Kindergarten-ready! We are so proud of all they’ve accomplished and know they will continue to be bright, shining stars. Wishing them the very best as they begin this exciting new adventure! ⭐️💙

We wrapped up last week celebrating at our April Ranger Rally! 🎉 Thanks to an incredible Spring Fling turnout, Mr. Haynes earned enough tickets to get pied in the face—definitely a crowd favorite! 🥧😄 Our Ranger role models also joined in on some fun games, making it a memorable celebration for all!

Today we had a special visit from Jiggy and Remix to help get us pumped and prepared for testing, which begins Friday! 🎉 They reminded us of a few important things for success: *get a good night’s sleep *eat a healthy breakfast *arrive on time *try your best *keep those positive thoughts flowing. Your mind is powerful—and you’ve got this! 💪✨

Last night’s Spring Fling was a blast! 🎉 Balloon animals, games, cakes, and nonstop smiles filled the night. Teachers even got sprayed with water 💦 while everyone enjoyed nachos and cotton candy. So much laughter and fun all around!
