We are so very thankful for our Instructional Assistants! Our CHES instructional assistants love and care for our students and care for all the adults in our building. They are passionate and driven. This week, CHES will celebrate this amazing group of educators!

It's here! Our Fall Book Fair starts tomorrow! We will be open beginning Thursday, September 7th through Friday, September 15th. Students will be allowed to shop during their Connect class times, Grandparent's Breakfast (if accompanied by an adult), and with an adult after school on Tuesday, September 12th.

We hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Reminder to those that will start clubs this week (sign ups are now closed) you MUST change your student to Clubs in PikMyKid in order for them to stay. Click on After School Programs and then Clubs. You can go ahead and set it up for every week. Call the office if you need help!
What a week to wrap up! We have had so many wonderful memories being made....PTO volunteered multiple times and provided #bighuskycheer treats, the July/August Birthday Lunch was a huge hit, Parents in the Know was informative and greatly appreciated, and of course FRIYAY was a fantastic way to sharpen our saws with some hilarious teacher performances. Families - have a fantastic long weekend and be ready to SHINE on Tuesday! ❤️🐾
Researchers and educators agree that attendance significantly impacts students' academic achievement. So DCPS is looking to promote attendance in September, and to do so; we will be offering prizes as follows;

We can't wait to see everyone that comes to the Multicultural Festival tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10AM -4PM. This is a free community event. We will have a table with members from our Mental Health team there.
