
On Friday March 7th, Apollo’s math department took a team of four students to compete in the WKU Mathematics Competition. Apollo was one of 10 schools to participate. Each student competed by taking 4-5 mathematics and science exams individually. The students also participated in the event as a mixed team (1 freshman, 1 sophomore, 1 junior, and 1 senior).
Ben Halbig (9), Tatum Ferguson (10), Xander Berry (11), and Andrew Smith (12) finished in 2nd place in the Mixed Team Competition and each came home with individual hardware as well.

Ballard placed 5th at regionals Saturday in Arts and Humanities Written Assessment and will be advancing to the state competition in March.
