Congratulations to Apollo's Academic Team for the following results this week in District competition!
In content assessment the following students placed and are advancing to regionals:
Science - tied for 4th was Blaize Free and Sreeram Galla
Language Arts - 5th place went to Ben Halbig
Math - 2nd place for Xander Berry
General Knowledge - Xander Berry placed 3rd and Ben Halbig placed 5th
In written composition Sarah Hardin placed 3rd overall and gets to advance to regionals.
In Future Problem solving we won 1st place and will also advance! The FPS team is made up of Xander Berry, Kassi Hirt, Tommy Rager, and Ben Halbig.

Good Afternoon,
No updates for tomorrow yet, but we wanted to tell you that as of now homecoming is still a go for Saturday!
Below is an update of how we plan to sell tickets given our current conditions. This will also be posted on students' grade level google classrooms
IF, do not read into this, we are not in school tomorrow, we will sell tickets Wednesday and Thursday at lunch and will include Friday as a selling day on an "as needed" basis.
IF we are not in school Tuesday and Wednesday, we will sell tickets Thursday and Friday at lunch and based on how that goes we will consider selling on Saturday morning here at school and will utilize a couple of volunteers to help run that.
No plan for IF we are out any longer than Wednesday and hopefully we will not have to cross that bridge.
As a reminder for students that wish to bring a guest:
Guests must be at least in the 9th grade but no older than 20 years old.
The Apollo student bringing a guest must be the person that purchases the tickets and at the time of purchase MUST provide the name of their guest and the school they attend.
All guests must provide a photo id at time of entrance to the dance.
Guests must arrive/leave at the same time as their Apollo host
These are all of the normal provisions in place for a dance.

AHS vs OHS Basketball game is still on for tonight. As well as the JAG Fundraiser. Come out to support the Eagles.
A quick shout-out to the following people for working so hard to get our Campus, all things considered, in pretty great shape! There is still snow all over the place, and likely will be for a while, but 2280 looks better because of the effort of these people:
DCPS Maintenance for their work to get our parking lots in usable condition.
Ms. Stephanie Roberts and her Custodial Team of Billy, Sherri, Tiffany, Kai, and Olivia, for their work with plows and shovels to get our sidewalks usable.
Mr. Tucker, Mr. Keith Johnson, Mr. Brown, and Mr. Head for working with plows and shovels to get lots of our sidewalks usable.

Tomorrow's Girls/Boys Varsity Basketball games vs Glasgow at Apollo are on as scheduled. Girls' game starts at 3:30 and the Boys are scheduled to start at 5:30 with Winter Sports Senior Night activities taking place between games.

Our first "green day" to celebrate KSA success is Wednesday, January 14th! All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear their "Built by 2280" shirt or something else that is green so we can continue to recognize the great academic success that is happening at 2280 Tamarack Road!
