Mr. Aaron Tucker was presented with the Golden Owl Award today during a suprise ceremony where he was surrounded by Family, Friends, Alumni & Co-Workers.
Presented by Nationwide® and the Kentucky FFA Foundation, the Golden Owl Award® recognizes agricultural educators across Kentucky for their tremendous contributions to helping the next generation of agricultural leaders. Students, fellow teachers and other supporters can nominate their favorite agricultural teacher and summarize what makes him or her the best in the state.
The goal of this program is to recgonize agriculture teachers for their tremendous hard work, but there are prizes!
Mr. Tucker is the Green River Region Winner and will advance to the next phase in State. His daughter, Amelia Tucker who not only has been raised by Mr. Tucker and his wife Jennifer, but she was also under his leadership while she was at Apollo and an active and involved FFA Officer was the person who nominated Mr. Tucker to receive this award. She read her nomination letter to him during the ceremony. Mr. Tucker has been in education for 30 years and has touched many lives in and around Apollo High School! This award is very much deserved.
