Did you know that there were over 200 children in foster care in the Owensboro/Daviess County area?
On Friday night, January 30th, the Apollo and Owensboro boys and girls basketball games are not the only competition occurring between the two cross-town rivals that evening!
Please join us for the first annual JAG Purple Out, as blue and red come together and go purple to raise money for children in foster care.
During the AHS vs. OHS girls & boys basketball double-header, the Apollo and Owensboro High School JAG programs will also be competing...to see who can raise the most money for Sunrise Children's Services. Special activities that will be included that evening are: a T-shirt toss, mini basketball hand-out, and information about how to get involved and support children in foster care. Please join us for this fun night of competition and caring! (And don't forget to bring a few dollars to support your favorite school and a GREAT cause.) We can't wait to see you there!
Shirts are on sale until January 16th. If you would like to order a shirt, please email Melody Wallace at melody.wallace@daviess.kyschools.us. or watch the AHS site for the order link.
