Students from the DCHS Juntos club are working to create connections with younger students across the district through their Nos conectamos events, meaning "we connect."
Members of the club visited East View Elementary to read and play games with other English Learner students and create connections.
DCPS schools will be in session on Monday, February 19. This is serving as Makeup Day 1.
Our featured Art of Kindness Artists for this week are Mia Bell and Madison Cabbage from Audubon Elementary School and Hser Moo, Larken Roach, Josue Mendoza and Parker Mullen from CVMS. We are so thankful for these talented student artists for sharing their creative thoughts on kindness through art.

Daviess County High School FFA students visited Frankfort to meet with legislatures about agriculture issues, while there Governor Beshear signed a proclamation in advance of National FFA Week beginning next week.
Students also got to meet Represenative Chad Aull, a DCHS FFA alumni who served as a State FFA Vice President.

The evening will include a program fair beginning at 4:30PM for then the main event begins at 5:30 PM . The main event includes a free meal and keynote speaker Aisha Bowe.

This afternoon, brothers Gary and Paul Mattingly, presented Mr. Robbins with the Patriotic Employer Award on behalf of the U.S Army Reserves. This award recognizes Daviess County Public Schools dedication as a deserving employer whose support and good will are important to retaining highly skilled and qualified members of the Guard.
Daviess County Public Schools Transportation Department will be using a new parent app, Stopfinder, for student bus schedules and transportation communication. Stopfinder is the easy-to-use, all-in-one app that allows you to have the most accurate information about your student’s bus schedule at anytime from anywhere.
The primary email address that is currently on file with the district will be used for Stopfinder setup.
Parents can update their email in Infinite Campus in their parent portal on their own or they can contact their school’s front office to make changes to primary email addresses. Updates and changes need to be made prior to February 7, 2024.
Stopfinder can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play. Stopfinder will require an invite and registration through the district prior to accessing your student’s transportation schedule.

Today, 1.11.24, materials will be distributed for DCPS@Home (NTI) for this school year. A separate communication will be sent out in the event school is canceled/delayed. The district plans for Grades Pre-K - 5 to utilize the folder sent home for assignments. Grades 6-12 will complete assignments through an online resource that can be found at DCPS.org. All grades can reference their assignments on the district website. As a reminder, as of 1.11.24 0 Snow/NTI days have been called by DCPS.
