This month we are focusing on the importance of attendance in our buildings. A week from today, September 13, 2023, is Kentucky's High Attendance Day. Our schools will be celebrating this in their own ways.
To help promote high attendance, we will give away prizes for each level for students who had perfect attendance all month and at each level for students who were at school all day on September 13.

We BELIEVE that it is vital for our students to be in school as much as possible. That is why we will again participate as a district in KY High Attendance Day on September 13, 2023.
We encourage all of DCPS to be in school for the full day on this day and help us have the highest percentage of attendance in the state!
On Monday, September 4 all DCPS Schools and Support offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day!

We can't wait to see everyone that comes to the Multicultural Festival tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10AM -4PM. This is a free community event. We will have a table with members from our Mental Health team there.
The following schools have openings for instructional assistants. Instructional assistants play a vital role in supporting our students' learning. Candidates interested in an instructional assistant position must have a high school diploma or GED and pass a state-approved exam, or associate's degree, or a minimum of 48 college credit hours.
We still have a few positions available for After School Aide at the below schools. Please reach out to our HR Personnel department for more information. Starting rate is $12.13 per hour and hours and days are flexible!

The Annual Stuff the Bus campaign this year for DCPS and OPS will be held Monday, July 31 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Representatives from both Davies County and Owensboro Public Schools districts will be on-site at both Owensboro Walmart locations (Hwy 54 and Frederica St.). You can deliver your supplies to either location as they will be split between the two school districts.
If you are unable to make it during the event, supplies can be dropped off at either district's Central Office location.

From 9AM-1PM, the community is invited to:

-Talk with the Transportation Department about benefits, hours, schedules, and more

A day of learning and fun at our Summer Leadership Retreat Day 1 of 2! All of our school leaders are growing in learning, excellence, communication, safety and wellness, and teamwork to put Kids First!
Looking for a job?! Make sure to stop by the DCHS Cafeteria tomorrow from 12-2 for our job fair. Current staff from transportation, custodial, and food service will be there and you can apply on-site.
