Elizabeth Caudill has been named principal at Whitesville Elementary School. The announcement was made at 2:45pm today, before a reception to welcome her to her new role. She will begin her new role on July 1.

Caudill began her educational career in 2016 in Owensboro Public Schools as an elementary classroom teacher at Foust Elementary School for five and a half years. While in the classroom, she taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. She assisted in building a school-wide behavioral incentive program while collaborating with building leaders on accelerative growth for students. She also served as a mentor for new teachers while working to tailor her lessons to serve a diverse group of learners. After an extensive career in the classroom, Mrs. Caudill served as an Instructional Coach at Foust Elementary School. A role she served in for a total of three and a half years. While in this role, she focused on supporting student learning, providing curriculum based professional learning to staff, and assisting with school-wide culture and communication initiatives. Mrs. Caudill also focused on supporting the implementation of newly adopted curriculums and managing and analyzing student data, while developing family engagement opportunities. 

Caudill is currently serving as the Preschool Coordinator in DCPS, a position she has held for the last year. In this role, she oversees the Daviess County Public Schools preschool program through ensuring preschool regulations are being met, communicating with building-level administration, refining and communicating Preschool MTSS processes. She also leads professional development for preschool staff while supporting the implementation of recently adopted Tier 1 Curricula. 

Caudill holds two Master’s Degrees, one from Western Kentucky University for her Principal Certification, graduating in  2021 and another from the University of the Cumberlands for Teacher Leadership graduating in 2018. She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University in 2016. 

Caudill said the following about her selection as the new instructional leader at WES, “It is a privilege to be named as Principal at Whitesville,” Caudill said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the Whitesville staff to build upon their current success.”

Caudill also stated, “As the Principal of Whitesville I am committed to student success, collaboration, communication, and strong culture. “The Whitesville Way” sets this school apart. I want to continue fostering the strong relationships, high expectations, and a supportive environment that make Whitesville such a special place.”
