General Information

Story time is an important element of learning to read and listen.

Meadow Lands Elementary School has a state-of-the-art media center available to the students. Wireless technology enables the students to use laptop computers anywhere in the facility. At any given time, students may be observed using the computers to find resources with the electronic card catalog, taking Accelerated Reading tests, or using the iPads to complete activities.  Numerous reading events and several book fairs provide students with an outlet to review and read the latest fiction and non-fiction resources.

Parent volunteers also play an active role in the media center, checking out books and helping students find materials to read. Come and browse the inviting facility and become a reading partner with your child or another student who needs a "reading buddy"!

If you are interested in becoming a parent volunteer in the media center, please contact the school office or the media office.
