Preschool Registration


2020-2021 Preschool Application

Kentucky's preschool education programs are available for all four-year-old children whose family income is no more than 160% of poverty; all three and four-year-old children with educational developmental delays and disabilities, regardless of income; and other four-year-old children as placements are available based on district decision.


  1. For income-eligible: must be 4 on or before August 1st of the current year.                                                                      
  2. Must be income-eligible according to state guidelines (current at or below 160% poverty level).


  1. For disability consideration, the child must be 3 or 4 with an educationally diagnosed delay or disability.


  1. If your child isn't eligible (due to income or having a delay), we also offer Fee-based programs at 10 of our elementary schools (Audubon, Burns, Country Heights, Deer Park, Highland, Meadow Lands, Sorgho, Southern Oaks, Tamarack and West Louisville and Whitesville.  The cost for the fee-based program for the 2020-2021 school year is $1,950 per year (discount of $50), $975 per semester (discount of $25), or $200 per month for the 10 month period.



Head Start is offered to children who will be 3 years old on or before Aug. 1 and who meet Head Start eligibility requirements.  Programming is offered for 6 hours per day at East View and Tamarack Elementary Schools.  If you are interested please click the link below.
