DCPS Commemorates Veterans Day DCPS honors Veterans

Students and staff members at all DCPS schools will honor those who have served and are serving our country with special Veterans Day programs. All active and former members of the military are invited to attend as our honored guests; contact the schools for more information. 

Listen And Learn Session

The DCPS Board of Education is hosting a “Listen and Learn” session at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Country Heights Elementary School (4961 Kentucky 54). Parents, students and members of the community are invited to attend and share suggestions or comments about any areas of interest or concern. Specific questions the school board will ask are: What does DCPS do well? What needs to improve or change? What can the school board do to address these needs? Board of Education members Frank Riney (chairman), Mike Clark (vice chairman), Dianne Burns Mackey and Dr. Tom Payne will be in attendance, along with DCPS Superintendent Owens Saylor.
