Highland Families Show Support for Health and Fundraising!

On Wednesday, May 27th, Highland students participated in a healthy fundraiser for the school’s PTO.  Students and their families brought in over $5,000 in donations for new technology needs in the building. 

Summer Feeding Schedule

DCPS provides free meals to youth age 18 and younger at locations across Daviess County. Schedule includes sites, times and dates of meals.

DCPS Arts Showcase artsshowcase

HES SBDM Council Parent Nominations

HES Choir to Sing on WBKR!!!

Exciting news!  Tune in to WBKR on Thursday, March 3, at 10:00 am to hear the HES Choir, Singing Hornets, sing to benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital. If you would like to make a donation, please call the donation line that day at 1-800-201-8883.

DCPS elementary schools are accepting Preschool and Kindergarten registration March 7-18.

New Photography and Video Policy!

Please be aware that there is a new DCPS Photography and Video Policy for school visitors.  All visitors to the schools must conduct themselves so as not to interfere with the daily operation of the school program.

HES "Kiss the Gift" Raises $2508!

Highland Elementary students worked together to support our Family Resource Center by participating in “Kiss the Gift”.  The classroom that raised the most money gave their teacher the privilege of “kissing” a mystery gift.  

 

Early Registration and Fee-Based Preschool

Preschool programs at seven DCPS elementary schools will begin accepting applications on Monday, Jan. 11. Fee-based preschool is also available; applications should be submitted by Friday, Feb. 12.

HES 5th Grade Back to School Picnic!

We are already making big plans for next year, your child’s LAST year at Highland!  We are hoping that it will be a memorable year, one that your child will look back on for years to come.  To start the year out right, we are inviting you and your “5th grader” to a Back to School Picnic on Monday, August 3rd at 5:30 pm in Shelter 3 at Yellow Creek Park.  We hope that everyone can make it because we are looking forward to getting to know you and your child before the school year starts.  This picnic will also include a brief presentation for the parents so that they can catch a glimpse of what their child’s 5th grade year will entail!  For more info, click HERE.
