HES Canned Food Drive Canned Food Drive

The week of October 30th - November 3rd, HES will be having a Holiday Food Drive. HES Grandparents' Day! Grandparents' Day

HES will be serving breakfast for our special grandparent visitors on Tuesday, September 12 for our K-2nd grade students and Wednesday, September 13 for our 3rd-5th grade students from 6:45-7:30.  Breakfast price is $1.75 each.  Our special menu for the day will be: chicken biscuit, fruit, juice and milk.  We hope to see you then!

HES Kindergarten Screening Important Notice

HES Kindergarten Student Screening will be on Tuesday, July 25th, 4-6 pm, at HIGHLAND.  Alternate location is Country Heights Elementary School IF we have a last minute change due to construction.  Important Details:  All participants will enter the front hallway, proceed through the cafeteria (parent sitting area), and students will be screened in the Early Learning Center.  ALL students must stay with their parent/guardian and cannot tour the building as construction crews are still working.

HES Back to School! Back to School

Highland's Back-to-School event is scheduled for Thursday, August 3rd. Hopefully, construction will be completed by then.  We will utilize letters home, Infinite Campus email messenger, Facebook posts and OneCall to communicate any changes in date, time, or location.  We are looking forward to seeing our Hornets!

Hello Highland Hornets! We hope your summer has been fantastic so far!  Many of your children knew about Exploration Station as a possibility for us this summer, unfortunately we were not able to have transportation approval to park the bus in the desired location we wanted.  Never fear though....The Highland Book Wagon is coming!

Exploration Station Bus Coming to HES Students! Exploration Station Bus

Be on the lookout for Exploration Station and HES staff over the summer break!  We will be in Landsdowne near Farmington Court from 12:30-2:45 and Heartlands Park from 3:00-4:30 on June 15, 22, and 29 and July 6, 13, and 20!  Come check out this amazingly cool and fun learning bus!

Highland Elementary School has been announced as the Kentucky state winner of 500 books to support student reading and literacy during the summer months!
