DCPS Commemorates Veterans Day DCPS honors Veterans

Students and staff members at all DCPS schools will honor those who have served and are serving our country with special Veterans Day programs. All active and former members of the military are invited to attend as our honored guests; contact the schools for more information. 

2016 9th District Soccer Tournament Information DC Logo

The 9th District Soccer Tournaments will be held the week of October 10th - 13th, 2016.

The Lady Panthers will be playing Apollo in the 1st round of the 9th District Soccer Tournmanet on Monday, October 10th at 7:15 p.m. at Shifley Park.  Click here for the bracket.

The Panthers will be playing Owensboro Catholic in the 1st round of the 9th District Soccer Tournament on Tuesday, October 11th at 5:30 p.m. at Apollo.  Click here for the bracket.

9th District Basketball Tournament Tickets on-sale

Tickets for the 9th District Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament will go on sale Friday February 19th in the DCHS Athletic Office at 9:00 a.m.  Tickets will be sold during school hours this Friday & Monday, and Tuesday of next week. Reserved Seat Tickets are $8; Student Tickets $6 (Chair Back); General Admission  $6 (Bench Seats)  All games played at the Owensboro Sportscenter.

Tuesday, September 20th, is Kentucky High Attendance Day for all of our Kentucky Public Schools.  Being at school on time and all day makes for good grades, success in school and a foundation for a solid career.

Deadline Fast Approaching - 2016 AP Exam Registration for DCHS
  • Registration begins February 1st at 8:00 AM and closes on March 11th at 3:00 PM

2016 DCHS Cheer Tryout Information

DCHS will be holding an informational meeting for parents of students interested in trying out for the DC Cheer Team on Thursday May 12th in the DCHS Media Center at 6:00 p.m.

Information will be distributed outlining tryout procedures, and information on the financial obligations associated with team membership.

A Cheer Clinic will be held for participants on May 17th, 18th, & 19th  from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the main gym at DCHS. Tryouts will be conducted on Saturday May 21st at 9:00 a.m.

The clinic and tryouts are closed to parents and the public.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL TURNED IN TO THE COACH OR ATHLETIC OFFICE TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLINIC AND TRYOUTS.

Participants can bring their valid/current physical form the day of the clinic.
